Preparing for Death

Factious,

Divisive,

Inclined to separate.

He told them to avoid the Samaritans.

He told them to avoid the Gentiles.

He told them to gather the lost sheep of Israel

To announce that the kingdom has come.

But the Emperor still sits in Rome,

The sheep are still scattered,

And the wolves gorge themselves

On mutton.

There is nothing to do

But run.
