When there is nothing left to believe in,
Why do I believe in you?
When there is nothing left to comfort me,
Why do I ask for you?
When there is nothing left that makes sense,
Why do I ask you for answers?
When there is nothing left to hope for,
Why do I give you one last opportunity?
When there is nothing,
Why do I look for something?
You are something.
I am looking for something.
I wrote this hoping for a reply.

Another Cut
From nothing:
A scratch.
It pricks the skin,
Repeatedly,
Like a sewing machine,
Bouncing a needle,
Breaking blood, sometimes,
Flaking skin, sometimes,
And tickle and itch
Marry each other in pain,
Not slice:
That's different,
Worse,
More serious.
A scratch.
It pricks the skin,
Repeatedly,
Like a sewing machine,
Bouncing a needle,
Breaking blood, sometimes,
Flaking skin, sometimes,
And tickle and itch
Marry each other in pain,
Not slice:
That's different,
Worse,
More serious.

Excuses
Ain't good for nothing:
Write for that girl.
What?
The LORD too busy running the program to show you a sunset,
Or blow His breath through the breeze in your hair?
It's okay, Precious.
Ain't got no more excuses than that the LORD has,
Trying to be beautiful for you, is all.
Read it for yourself.
