Do you know?
I am slave,
But I am beautiful.
I am prostitute,
But I am beautiful.
Do you see my face?
I selling postcard every day.
I speak-uh, English,
And I am beautiful.

Philosophy of the Charging Bull
Respiration and desperation are
Two different words: one means again,
The other means without: spirit, breath.
Breathe in, breathe out. Again. Again.
Sometimes you can't do either, or even
Afford to try. The will to persist stops,
Leaving nothing but the emptiness of hope,
The painful fear of emptiness of lungs.
Why does this heart beat without stopping?
Why does it compete with these tired lungs?
Stubborn persistence. Wretched tenacity.
Bold clinging to pain unendurable.
Bravo! Toro! Send the bull again!
Pierce heart and lung--at once!--with sharpened horns.
