That shines in the nearest east

Of Syria's poisonous beast.

Osiris will watch the play
From his seat in the southern coast
While Auriga in his chariot leers
From the north with the heavenly host,

And Nath to his chamber retires
To sleep in his tomb through the day,
And death from the east will arise
When Scorpio seizes his prey.
