Kiss the Buddha

Can it be said more plainly than this,
That when you come to draw your final breath,
Stretched out upon your bed,
Toothless and translucent,
Pale-eyed and moon-weary
From a lifetime of heavy sobbing
In bathtubs, holding razor blades
That cut not too deeply for visible scars,
I will be holding you in my arms,
If with my body, then with my body,
If with my ghost, then with my ghost,
Until the end of Time and Space?
