I drank the stale coffee
To taste the red lipstick
Your lips had left there on the rim.
The creamer had sweetened
The black and the bitter
That turned your thoughts poorly on him.
The mug had cooled down on
The top of the bookshelf
Since you'd walked out the room.
But, o the sweet taste of
The lips that had kissed it
Still lingered there like a perfume!
