Special Theory

If you take this and put it over that,
The ratio exists inside your mind.
And then within your skin a new thing forms
That could not be at all without this act

Of separating this that in your brain.
Here springs, once one, into two things that make
A third thing now appear there to be, too,
A thing, another, and the last thing, you.

But tested, now you find the third thing goes
Away because the this and that are one,
And third, the other that that you have made,

Does testify that this and that were, too.
The this and that that you suppose to see,
Will disappear when you, too, cease to be.
